THE WOODBRIDGE GAZETTE
2026 Season • Updated May 2026
Whether you're hunting for just-picked strawberries, a loaf of sourdough still warm from the oven, or a jar of local honey, Prince William County has a farmers market for you — and in 2026, there are more options than ever before.
From a beloved Sunday institution in Dale City that's been running since 1987, to a brand-new Saturday market that just opened in Gainesville this spring, the county's farmers market scene is thriving. You'll find producer-only markets where everything on the table was grown or made by the person selling it, evening markets perfect for a post-work stop, and monthly markets worth building a whole night out around.
Whether you're a longtime market regular or you've never gone and keep meaning to, this is your season. We've rounded up every market in Prince William County — plus one Worth the Drive pick just over the county line — with days, times, locations, and our honest take on each one.
Grab a tote bag. Let's go.

The granddaddy of Prince William County markets, the Dale City Farmers Market has been a Sunday institution since 1987. With nearly 50 vendors in peak season — and 30-plus keeping things going through winter — it's one of the largest open-air markets in the region. Expect fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, international prepared foods, and more. Rain or shine, it doesn't quit.
⭐ What readers are saying: "Vendors are friendly and helpful. Produce is priced well and they have some of the best veggies I've ever had. From breads to flowers — whatever you're looking for, they have it." — community review
Our take: The Dale City market is the gold standard for Prince William County. Go early, bring a tote, and plan to stay longer than you intended.
