🗺️ What's on the Ballot

Prince William County voters will see the following confirmed races on their August 4 ballot:

•  Republican primary for U.S. Senate — three Republican candidates competing: Kim Farington, Bert Mizusawa, and David Williams. Incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Warner is the Democratic nominee and will not appear on a Democratic primary ballot.

•  Republican primary for U.S. House of Representatives — PWC voters are in either Virginia’s 7th or 10th Congressional District, both with Republican primaries on August 4.

•  Democratic primary for U.S. House — Virginia’s 7th Congressional District (which includes much of Prince William County) also has a Democratic primary with four candidates: incumbent Eugene Vindman, Dan Helmer, Matthew Rainforth, and Alex Thymmons.

📌 Important: Virginia voters are NOT registered by party. Any registered voter can choose to vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary — but only one.

📅 Key Dates & Deadlines

•  July 24 — Last day to register to vote or request a mail ballot online or by mail

•  July 25 — Same-day registration begins (must cast a provisional ballot)

•  August 1 — Last day of early voting

•  August 4 — Election Day | Polls open 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

•  August 7 — All mailed ballots must be received by the registrar's office by noon

📌 If you are in line at 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, you are entitled to vote.

🏫 Where to Vote

Your Election Day polling place is assigned by your home address. Find yours at pwcvotes.org or through the Virginia Voter Portal before Election Day.

Early voting is available now through Saturday, August 1 at these locations:

•  PWC Office of Elections — 9250 Lee Ave., Suite 1, Manassas (main office)

•  DMV Woodbridge Elections Office — 2731 Caton Hill Road, Woodbridge

•  Haymarket-Gainesville Library — 14870 Lightner Road, Gainesville

Early voting hours: Weekdays 8:30am–4:30pm (open until 7:00pm on Wednesdays). Phone: (703) 792-6470.

📬 Voting by Mail or Early

•  Early voting is available now through Saturday, August 1 — no excuse needed in Virginia

•  Request a mail ballot online at vote.elections.virginia.gov by July 24

•  Mail ballots must be postmarked by August 4 and received by noon August 7

•  If you requested a mail ballot but haven't received it, you can still vote in person

•  Drop boxes are available at all early voting locations — use them to return your completed ballot

📊 Results + Certification

•  August 4: In-person votes reported on Election Night after polls close at 7:00 p.m.

•  August 11: Official canvass begins — the formal process where election officials count all remaining ballots including mail-in, drop box, and provisional votes not included in Election Night results.

•  Final certified results follow after the canvass is complete.
