WOODBRIDGE – Two overnight closures on northbound Interstate 95 will affect drivers headed to Dale City, Occoquan and Lake Ridge this week, weather permitting. The Virginia Department of Transportation says crews will close the ramps for asphalt patching.
Drivers should follow the posted detour signs.
Monday night, Oct. 19: Northbound I-95 to westbound Dale Boulevard
The ramp to westbound Dale Boulevard (Exit 156B, Route 784 West toward Dale City) will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, to 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Detour: Stay on northbound I-95 and take the ramp to westbound Prince William Parkway (Exit 158B, Route 294 West toward Manassas). Follow the parkway west, turn left at the traffic signal onto the ramp to southbound I-95/Richmond, then take southbound I-95 to the Exit 156B ramp to westbound Dale Boulevard.
Tuesday night, Oct. 20: Northbound I-95 Exit 160B
Exit 160B (Route 123 North toward Occoquan and Lake Ridge) will remain open up to the split for Route 123 and the park and ride lot, but the left ramp to northbound Route 123 will be closed from 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Detour: Take the right ramp to the park and ride lot, follow the lot's access road beneath the two overpasses, then take Annapolis Way back to northbound Route 123.
