County staff and volunteers will be at five recreation centers and libraries this month, and residents can take a pledge to enter a prize contest.

America Recycles Day is an annual awareness campaign run by Keep America Beautiful. It has been held every Nov. 15 since 1997. The county says it will celebrate throughout November, with help from Keep Prince William Beautiful volunteers.

Take the pledge, win a prize
Prince William is joining other Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments jurisdictions in inviting residents to take the 2026 "I Recycle" pledge and be entered to win prizes. You can take the pledge online at mwcog.org/recyclesday through Nov. 20. You can also take it in person at one of the library or recreation center activities. The county's announcement doesn't say what the prizes are.
